**Just got my device. I have only made a few permanent moves on my device:**
1. Installed the system on NVME 1
2. Configured Volume1 in TRAID on my 2 HDDS
3. Install Native Jellyfin, Docker, and TerraSync (shouldn't matter for this process)
**What I attempted to do to add hypercache:**
1. "Select a volume to create SSD Cache" - My only options are Volume 1, which is my TRAID configured HDDs mentioned above. It doesn't give my NVME 2 as an option.
2. So I created a storage pool & volume on my free NVME2 as Single Disk. It didn't make sense to to TRAID on a hypercache NVME.
3. *After I created those storage pools and volume on the NVME2, when I go to Hypercache - the + (add) button is greyed out. So is "Create" at the bottom.*
I'm stuck here, and this doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Why can I not add my free NVME to hypercache? Everything is greyed out on the hypercache tab.

Hello! Since NVMe2 has already been used to create a storage pool, which conflicts with the conditions for creating Hyper Cache, this drive cannot be used to create Hyper Cache for volumes under the HDD storage pool. You can delete the storage pool currently created by NVMe2 and then retry using this drive to create Hyper Cache.
Additionally, please note: NVMe1, which is used as the system drive, can also create a storage pool, but it does not support being used to create Hyper Cache.

@TMbuddy , thank you very much for taking the time to respond, your effort is appreciated
Before my post, I had tried what you suggested. After your response, I tried again with the second results.
When I first set up my device, there was only 1 single storage pool (my two HDDs) and 1 single volume for that pool of the 2HDDs. When I went to create a hypercache with my NVME 2, the "create hypercache" and "+" sign under hypercache were greyed out. This was my first thing I did after my TRAID was configured as I was very excited to set up my hypercache!
I tried the steps listed in my post as a troubleshooting step, doing whatever I could to do possibly get the "create hypercache" button to be available under the Hypercache tab.
I then tried what you just suggested again, to delete the "storage pool" on NVME2, but since a Volume sits on the storage pool, that didn't work. The "delete" button was available, but nothing happened. So after deleting my volume again, I deleted the storage pool 2 that only contained my NVME two, and I was back to where I started. "Create hypercahce" is still greyed out. There is only one single Volume and Storage Pool on my device, both on the 2 HDDs only, and NVME 1 still dedicated as the system disk.
I have the latest version of TOS6 and a brand new F4-425+. Can you please help me with what to try next? I will send a support ticket in, but it would be great if there was another troubleshooting steps to attempt in the meantime.

The SSD used as the system drive cannot create Hyper Cache. Please confirm this first.

@CursaYang
Thank you for your response. I have 2 NVME drives. 1 where the system is installed, and #2 is completely free with nothing on it. I got it specifically to be used as a hypercache.
I submitted my report and linked this forum post yesterday at 4:12pm Eastern Time.
If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Re: Why can I not add my free NVME to hypercache? Everything is greyed out on the hypercache tab.
We found that your NVMe2 was once attempted to be used for creating a storage pool, but due to an unknown reason, the creation failed and left residual md information. This causes the system to recognize it as possibly containing data. The support email has informed you of the handling method.

It is uncertain whether the difference lies in the information from the forum and the email, or for other reasons. Based on the new information you provided in the email, the previous conclusion is no longer valid. We will continue to investigate.

Hello TMzethar, thank you for your time to respond. I gave the same information in the email as I did this forum post. I even linked this forum post as requested.
