[Help] TNAS PC app thinks F2-424 is offline
[Help] TNAS PC app thinks F2-424 is offline
I am in the process of setting up a NAS for the first time. After the TNAS completed its initial synchronization, I shut it down for the night bc it has no data on it yet. Today, while I can see the drive in my network and connect to it via my computer, the app claims the device is offline and it is unable to connect to it remotely. I've searched the forums, but none of the existing answers seem to fully match the problem I'm having. Please help.

Welcome to TerraMaster!
What version of your operating system are you currently using? When you observe that your TNAS PC is showing the device as offline, have you tried refreshing the list? You can try sending us a screenshot of the search results.
Additionally, if your device's IP address changes after a reboot, the device will also appear offline in the access history.

Re: [Help] TNAS PC app thinks F2-424 is offline
My OS is Mac Tahoe 26.0.1; the version of TNAS PC I am using is 5.2.325.
After I turned on the computer today, the app recognizes the TNAS as being online. Considering that I restarted the computer twice yesterday, the app at least four times, and I refreshed the list probably three times that, I am unwilling to trust that I will never have this issue again.
In the event of a power outage - or simply of turning the NAS off! - what is the best way to solve the problem that isn't "hope it fixes itself"?

One of the main functions of TNAS PC is to help users locate powered-on devices on the local area network. Device status cannot be obtained when the device is powered off. When searching using TNAS PC, please ensure your device is powered on.
