[Help] Duplicate file folders

I have copied folders and files to the NAS. When programs create a folder and there is already a folder with the same name, instead of using the existing folder, a new folder with the same name is created. IE.. existing 24TAX, new 24tax. I have only seen that occur in Linux/UNIX environments, not Windows based computers.

Am i just not seeing a setting that prevents this?

Are you using any backup tool to automatically create the target folder?
Could you provide some screenshots?
Please inform us of the TNAS model and TOS version.
