Hi All
I have a Dune HD android media box. It has a 2.5 bay and 2 x usb 3.0 ports but I wanted all my media in one place rather than multiple enclosures and caddys, so i bought the TERRAMASTER D8 Hybrid HDD NVMe Enclosure.
Happy with it so far, but having an issue.
My initial plan was to use the 4 x nvme bays as the primary storage (4 x 4tb) to run myt media from, then use the 2.5 bays as backup drives.
Connecting the unit to windows all 8 drives connect and work perfectly, but when i connect to the media player, only the 2.5 drives work. even if i disconnect the 2.5s, the nvmes do not connect or mount at all. even disconnecting 3 and leaving 1 nvme connected, nothing.
Sorry I am not an android person at all, and most googling is people with an android phone trying to connect to nvme, and it is mostly due to power issues. but this is a powered enclosure, and powered media player.
Is there a known issue between android and nvme or this enclosure?
Thanks

Hello!
After communicating with the engineers and conducting a preliminary investigation, it is speculated that the current playback issue may be related to the built-in player of Windows. We suggest that you try using the Hotplayer player for playback and observe if the problem improves.
If the same issue persists after switching to the player, please feel free to provide feedback at any time. We will continue to assist you in troubleshooting and handling the issue.

Re: [Help] nvme in D8 Hybrid on Android
Hello! When the D8 Hybrid product is connected to a Windows system, both its SATA HDD and NVMe SSD can be recognized normally, indicating that the D8 Hybrid product itself is functioning properly. We initially suspect that the issue may lie in the compatibility between the Dune HD Android media box and the USB to NVMe chip used in the D8 Hybrid product. Given that this chip (RTL9210) is a relatively new product launched only in the last two or three years, the Dune HD Android media box's current software system may not have integrated the driver for this chip, resulting in the inability to recognize the NVMe SSD.
