[Help] Connecting DAS to NAS

Post by sukanm »

I have connected my D4-320 to my F4-221. I'd like to reference the drives on the DAS from my Mac.

I can see the DAS drive as 'usbshare1', but when I try to access it from my Mac I see the message "The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “usbshare1” can’t be found."

Hello, did you create a RAID array on D4-320? What file system format are you using?

We have noticed that your TNAS model is from the TOS4 era. TOS4 does not support accessing USB drives via file services.
If you are using TOS4, you may consider reinstalling TOS5.0.176.

After installation, do not update it further, even if it prompts you to, as HDDs from TOS4 are incompatible with higher versions of TOS5.
