So.. It is something automatic that goes wrong.. Why don't TM team correct it..?!crisisacting wrote: ↑03 May 2025, 21:57It seems that models that were released with TOS 5.× originally, continue to only have that; the releases listed are the first 8 GB system partition builds.
If one of the update notice threads for TOS 6.× builds has a newer .INS file available for download to clean install that, then support just forgot to add it to the download page on their support subsite.

Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
HI, I have a F4-423 model and I was on the TOS 5.1.67, BIOS 5.19 and the 6.0.x kept failing "update failed"...
I now realize that THOUGH my NAS says the 5.1.67 *is the latest* firmware, on the website there is the more recent one! I am updating at this moment to the 5.1.145
To run SMOOTHLY as it should, on the existent and support models, the NAS itself should see the 5.1.145 and offer to update!
I recommend thath, here in the Forum, administrators put an indication that the 5.1.145 is an OPTIONAL firmware and the NAS itself does not see it, so people will have to update it manually and then to the TOS 6. I know that it states that, it is a requirement but I still do not understand why the automatic search from the NAS does not see it...
I made all updates:
- 5.1.67 to 5.1.145 (manually)
- then from 5.1.145 to 6.0.530 (manually)
- now to the latest one (through the NAS itself)
and everything went smooth. My units on BTRFS seem to be working fine. The UI is ABSURDLY faster than the 5.1.x one!!!!
I strongly recommend the update (as long as the data integrity is maintained). The new OS is fresh, fast (very!) and the File Manager is like 1000x better. Congratulations TM!

Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
Well, there are the release notes fro the point releases. There is, however a downside:

The LINK mentioned, in this case {F4-423}, points to the CHINESE version :} (others likely similar)
Warning
Due to TOS 5.1.40 system partition requires more storage space, this update is only applicable to TOS 5.1.24 or higher version and system partition needs to be larger than 2GB, if TOS version is lower than 5.1.24 or system partition needs to be smaller than 2GB, please do not update!
If your TOS version does not meet the upgrade requirements, please click this link for the update method

Hi. If you have not encountered any issues related to BIOS, there is no need to seek a BIOS update.

Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
Got it upgraded. Had to manually update 3 version up to .140 then update to 6.
Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
Hello, when you mention manually upgrading three versions, are you referring to upgrading the TOS system version or something else? What version of TOS are you currently using?

Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
I have exact same specs F4-423, TOS 5.1.67, BIOS 5.19. I'm following your example. I updated to 5.1.145, now ready to update to 6.0.530. But the only link I found is to 6.0.770. Please can you provide download link to 6.0.530?mmick wrote: ↑08 May 2025, 19:15 HI, I have a F4-423 model and I was on the TOS 5.1.67, BIOS 5.19 and the 6.0.x kept failing "update failed"...
