Search not working? nothing working? when will anything work?
Re: Search not working? nothing working? when will anything work?
There is no metadata in these photos of course!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does no one use the product, search? Why should I prove obvious things?

When you click on a photo in the search results, related information will be displayed on the right side of the page, indicating why these photos were matched. This information is currently vague, and we will restructure this feature in future versions. Please be patient.

WHEN WILL THE SEARCH WORK? If I insert words ending with a space into the search line, I get all my files randomly in the search results. However, it does not find a file containing 'Luna Eclipse' in the name for the 'Luna Eclipse' request.

Sorting by name and other columns in the search window does not work.

does not find file "Luna_Eclipse" for query "Luna Eclipse"
for query "Luna Eclipse " shows all files (space at the end of search query)
for query "Luna Eclipse " shows all files (space at the end of search query)

Re: Search not working? nothing working? when will anything work?
this is how a computer works
big question is do you have a file called luna eclipse, i think it would help TM if you included screen shots of the exact file you are trying to find, so they can advise on the correct search to find it or identify what the issue is
in my example i have two files

if i search for "luna_eclipse" it finds the file

if i search for "luna eclipse" it doesnt file the file (because it doesnt have a space in it its an underscore so its trying to do a full match)

you are correct putting a space on the end does indeed give you back all files although not clear on the screen shot so no way for TM to know i did this without explaining exactly what i did

i think the way it works is it does left to right searching e.g. searching for "aes" only files the one file

so my solution to your problem is dont end your searches with a space and be a bit more manual in what you are searching for, for example to find luna eclipse you would search for "luna" this will then find files called "luna_eclipse" and "luna eclipse" if you couldnt remember whether you saved the file with a space or an underscore

Re: Search not working? nothing working? when will anything work?
Obviously it doesn't matter if it exists or not, I came to the search to check it out, and accidentally realized why this nonsense shows me such results, for example because I inserted the name and there was a space at the end of it. A commercial system is obliged not to go crazy from such a simple mistake!!!
The file is there, the folder with it is indexed, I don't understand what this nonsense about the file type music/photo/document means, why there is no video in this list. But I have all the checkboxes in the index.
The file is called Luna_eclipse.....mp4 and it doesn't find it when I request luna. And this is the simplest thing...I'm not looking for luna in videoluna_7.mp4, I have the simplest option, these are the first four letters of the file name, and it still doesn't work. Because the search on TOS doesn't work, and almost nothing works, there are childish mistakes everywhere that no one is going to fix.
I GOT IT, this crap is also case sensitive, I searched for Luna and found several files containing this word.

Are you referring to searching within file management or searching in Terra Search?
