504 Gateway Time-out error

Post by ajkaramba »

Hello,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue on my F4-423 running version 6.0.750.
About every two weeks, I can no longer access the system via its IP address – I just get a 504 Gateway Time-out error. Jellyfin also stops working at the same time and shows the same error.

I haven’t found any way to regain access without performing a hard reboot using the physical power button on the server.

Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and how to prevent it?

Thank you for your feedback. We have confirmed that TOS version 6.0.750 has a network module defect, which may cause the 504 Gateway Timeout and IP access interruption issues you encountered. This issue has been resolved in TOS version 6.0.770.
We recommend that you:
Upgrade to TOS version 6.0.770
Monitor the system's performance after the upgrade
If the issue persists, please feel free to contact our technical support team at [email protected].
We are always here to assist you.

Now I had the same error. After a hard reboot I could login again. The problem is that Jellyfin didn't work, even after restart. I couldn't even open the app. So I restarted through gui. I can now login through Putty and SSH, but I can't login via browser. How can I solve the problem?

Jellyfin also doesn't work.

Based on your feedback so far, I suspect that the resource usage of some service you are using is gradually increasing. Two weeks later, due to excessive load, it has affected the operation of system programs and the Jellyfin program. You mentioned earlier that you can log in to the terminal via SSH, please check the CPU/RAM usage.

Code: Select all

pidstat | sort -k 8 -n -r | head -n 25

Code: Select all

Good afternoon,
the NAS made a Raid reconstruction, which was the reason it was not accessible. Yesterday evening I received the information that the RAID synchronization has been completed.
Now the server is once again not reachable.

In Chrome I get the error message:
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

I also cannot access the device via Putty and SSH. The device has not been used in the meantime, only Jellyfin was running as a program.

How should I proceed?
