Can't make new time machine location

Post by backsw »

Have the F2-223 with TOS 5.103

I go into backup > Time Machine and see the public location for backup. I want to make a different one. I click on the plus. Directory is a drop down with nothing in it, no place to type in a new location. How do we add this??

Can you provide screenshots? Have you created a shared folder for it?

At your new system, the 'public' is the only folder exists in your system, you have to create the new shared folder first.

You need to create a new shared folder first. Only "public" shows up because it’s the only one available. Once you make a new shared folder, it should appear in the dropdown.poor bunny

Honestly, the TOS interface on TerraMaster isn’t the most intuitive, so you kind of have to poke around to figure things out. That issue you mentioned — where the dropdown is empty when trying to add a Time Machine backup locationmelon playground — I ran into the exact same thing.
