I have a Windows PC with 5 partitions/ hard drives, containing lot of data. I started to create for a first hard drive to create a TerraSync backup task, which took around 7 hours to complete. Checking the result, it appears correct to me.
I have to admit that until this point I appreciate TerraSync Backup.
Logically, I wanted to define a second backup task for my second hard drive, which unfortunately is apparently not possible: the icon (the circled + on top) is greyed out and not possible to click on it. I already rebooted both PC and NAS, no improvement. I am not able to define an additional backup task.
I really would regret if there would be no possibility to define additional backup tasks.
Is there a workaround available?
Thanks for replies.
[Help] Creation of additional Backup Tasks in TerraSync [SOLVED]
Re: [Help] Creation of additional Backup Tasks in TerraSync
Thank you for your suggestions. Indeed, TerraSync only allows you to create a single backup task. If you have already set up a backup task for the C drive, you can still edit the backup sources within that task to select additional hard drives for backup. Additionally, you can choose the “One-way Upload” sync task to personalize your folder backup needs. This design is based on the following considerations:
1.Simplified User Operation: By allowing only one backup task, we avoid potential conflicts between multiple tasks, especially when different tasks may have overlapping backup sources. We enable file version management on the NAS by default to ensure the stability and reliability of the backup process.
2.Easier Management: Having only one backup task means there will be just one backup destination folder on the NAS (named after your computer). This clarity simplifies management when dealing with multiple computers, allowing users to quickly find their desired backups without searching through multiple tasks.
This design aims to enhance the user experience while ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the backup process.
