When creating volumes, allow the volume number to be updated.
For example in my use case, I had Volume 1 as the NVME SSDs.
I added several HDD's and created a volume from them which was named Volume 2.
I later pulled those drives to put in another NAS, and added several all new drives and created a volume, which was named Volume 3.
I was unable to edit the number of the Volume 3 even though Volume 2 no longer existed.
Would be nice if we are able to either edit when creating the Volume to provide whatever number we would like that isn't already being used, and/or to be able to edit that volume number later.
Thank you!
Allow "Volume X" (X being integer) to be updated/changed.
Re: Allow "Volume X" (X being integer) to be updated/changed.
After discussing with the product team, we will temporarily not launch the feature to modify volume names.
Most of the NAS functionality paths depend on the volumes, and modifying the volume name would cause the paths to become invalid.
If you need to change the current volume name, you can schedule a remote session, and we will manually help you modify the currently displayed volume name.
