Just recently purchased 2x Terramaster NAS's (T9-423 and a U12-500 Plus) though I'm still waiting on the latter.
That being said, the NAS name is all lowercase lettering in the windows file explorer/network neighborhood areas, despite being correctly capitalized within the TOS software.
Example:
"YayNAS-123" would simply appear as "yaynas-123"
Not a super huge deal, but if possible this would bring me a moderate amount of joy and happiness!
Enable capitalization for device name.

Re: Enable capitalization for device name.
Interesting. How can it be fixed (or developed)? It has been said previously on this forum that it was a function of windows.
If you are working on something, please take into account that not everyone wants "all capitals" or "all lower case" in the display -- just display as entered in the device "name" under TOS. Tks.

Re: Enable capitalization for device name.
As you mentioned, we will implement displaying the same format of names in the file explorer as in TNAS.Gremlin wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025, 17:52Interesting. How can it be fixed (or developed)? It has been said previously on this forum that it was a function of windows.

Re: Enable capitalization for device name.
OK.
Slightly off topic but, while you are at it, anything further on getting same TNAS device name to appear in the web browser tab.
(I usually have 3 browser tabs (for 3 devices) and all just say "TOS 6.0" - not even the current version - all sitting behind the forum browser tab, of course.

Re: Enable capitalization for device name.
This is a new requirement, and these are functions of two different modules.Gremlin wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025, 18:21OK.

Regarding the browser tab, currently, it only shows the major version, such as TOS 5.1, 6.0.
Displaying the device name, device IP, or even custom tabs in the tab?
I will forward your request, and the product team will need to evaluate the specific display details.

Please do that. It was requested (and accepted) already, ages ago I thought.
