Hi!

I'm considering buying an F8 SSD Plus and this feature is also very important to me.

Since electricity costs are so high I try to keep my 24/7 systems as low power as possible.

Thanks!

I don't think anything will happen... I've been waiting for an answer for almost a month.

I also believe that they didn't develop the board themselves, they just bought it.

I've also bought boards from Aliexpress and even there I got a quicker response and a solution.

It's actually a shame because saving electricity is very important in Europe because we have the highest electricity costs.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, I am confident that our product's power consumption does not exceed the standard range. This requires a period of comprehensive testing and identifying areas for optimization. We kindly ask for your patience during this process.

Just over a week ago in another thread, where another person had requested a firmware update for the exact same commercial Marvell network chipset, but for a different feature, an update was actually provided: viewtopic.php?t=6796&start=10

The F8 SSD plus TNAS should also be able to apply that update, which might enable ASPM along with the requested GRO from that other thread.

Is there a chance any of you could verify if that linked newer Aquantia firmware revision, which should be applicable to the F8 series TNAS devices, does indeed enable ASPM, which would at least partially appease the original request of this thread?

Hello!
Regarding the ASPM feature of the F8 SSD product, this functionality involves multiple modules, including the BIOS, PCIe expansion chip firmware (FW), and the AQC113 10G NIC firmware (FW). Currently, our internal team has been actively working on the related adjustments. We kindly ask for your patience as we finalize the remaining tasks.

Looking forward to see this enhancement also for the new F4 SSD which I currently own. Thanks for the effort.
