Hey,
I have the following Storage Pool:
HDD1 - 8TB - WDC WD80EFPX-68C4ZN0
HDD2 - 8TB - WDC WD80EFPX-68C4ZN0
HDD3 - 20TB - TOSHIBA HDWG62AUZSVA
I now want to add a 4th HDD (20TB - TOSHIBA HDWG62AUZSVA) and keep the current Raid Setup (TRAID).
I did the following:
1. Control Panel
2. Select Storage Pool
3. Click Edit Storage Pool
4. Select "Add disks to RAID"
4.1 Selected HDD
4.2. Checking the confirmation overview
When the System is set to ENGLISH Language, it is mentioned:
"Current Array TRAID"
"Expanded Array TRAID"
On the GERMAN Language however, it is mentioned:
"Aktuelles Array TRAID"
"Erweitertes Array TRAID+"
Is this a language only issue?
I assumed that just adding a HDD to the Storage Pool will NOT upgrade my current RAID Configuration?
Im now a little bit concerned, that it would automatically upgrade my RAID setup to TRAID+, which I really dont want. I want to keep TRAID.
Thanks,
Florian

Adding an HDD to RAID (the second option when edit the storage pool) will not automatically change the RAID type.
Regarding changing the RAID type, that's what the third option does. And you might not even meet the conditions required to select it.

Re: [Help] Adding 4th HDD will automatically upgrade to TRAID+ ?
Thats how its supposed to work, and I just started the process.
However, as explained, the german Language of TOS6 will show "TRAID+" as "Expanded Array" when you want to confirm the operation. While this is not the current arrays setup. It implies you would change the Configuration, while in fact you are not.
The english Language of TOS6 will show "TRAID" as "Expanded Array" correctly when you want to confirm the operation.
Its clearly a visual bug of the german language.

Thank you for your attention to our products. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
After thorough verification by our technical team, we confirm that during the "Add Disk" operation, the system strictly maintains the original array type (TRAID). This behavior is consistent across both English and German interfaces - there is no automatic switching to TRAID+.
If you encounter any irregularities during use, please contact our support team.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support.
