APP Centre - Misbehaving

Post by Gremlin »

After, the recent episode(s?) of the app centre not updating I have encountered another odd situation.
Running Clam AV on 3 nas. Received notices on 2 devices that ClamAV app had been updated. Updated both to Version 1.4.003.
Went to the 3rd device (F5-221) but there was no update advisory in the App Centre. ClamAV appears to be stuck on version 1.4.002.

Just for (kicks?) I
rebooted device; No change
Uninstalled ClamAV (retained config); No change in APP Centre.
re-installed ClamAV; Application failed to load.
Refreshed everything (as if re-boot was not enough); No change.
Manually deleted ClamAV folder structure in @apps
reinstalled Clam AV; failed to load
Reboot; No change
Checked Download routine (click on download, .xml error); pointing to old tpk not available
Manually downloaded new (correct) .tpk {manual edit of link}; OK
manually installed .tpk; success, ClamAV 1.4.003 appears under 'installed'.
manually re-configured settings; OK
App Centre listing still shows old version (1.4.002) in 'available' listings

Regarding the issue only occurring with your F5-221, we currently have no ideas. Perhaps you can contact the official Live Chat to schedule a remote check.
At present, there is no way for you to modify the version number.
Concerning the directory you mentioned for downloading/testing virus files, we will get back to you after confirming the relevant details.

Not exactly what I was asking. I was hoping there would be some process running that monitors and updates the application list and that could be started/stopped manually so as to "refresh" the list correctly. As it stands, if I list "installed" apps I see ClamAV v1.4.002 and if I list "all" I see ClamAV v1.4.002. You would think that a reboot would achieve that but it does not apparently. Otherwise a database that can be modified?
