Hi All,
Currently running a F2-422 on version 5.1.33, and wish to upgrade to TOS 6. I currently have a 1.84GB app data capacity so I need to upgrade to the 8GB
I have just purchased a D4-300 to expand my storage. It's plugged in to the rear of the F2, and currently building a TRAID volume. My hope is to backup as wholly as possible, then do an upgrade on the main F2, then get everything back to how it was.
My concern however, is that running the D4 off the back of the F2, would this make the D4 data inaccessible once I have rebuilt the new TOS 6 F2?
Am I better off running the D4 off a computer for the data backup and then connecting it to expand storage after??
Thanks all

Re: [Help] Backing up for upgrade
You can directly connect D4-300 to F2-422 for backup. Before upgrading TOS 6, please upgrade to 5.1.145 first, then upgrade TOS 6.

Re: [Help] Backing up for upgrade
and even though I need to do a full wipe of the F2-422 to get the 8GB sys partition, the data will be accessible on the TRAID Volume on the D4-300?
I am worried it'll not be accessible as the F2-422 the volume was created with, is essentially gone having been wiped.

Re: [Help] Backing up for upgrade
It's recommended to use your DAS as external drive and move all data to the DAS, and contine the process.
