[Help] NAS not recognizing DAS Storage Pool after reset

Post by TMDDNF »

I have an F2-424 and recently purchased and added a D6-320 to it with a USB-C connection. In the D6-320, I have 2 x 18TB hard drives (on the approved/compatible list) running Raid 1 together and I had created a storage pool which I wasn't having any issues transferring files to the pool. After the NAS reset, the storage pool on the D6 hard drives disappeared and I can't access them anymore.

When I look in the hard drive tabs, the F2 recognizes the hard drives as being there and I have the option to create a new storage pool using those drives, but it won't recognize the original pool itself. I've tried restarting both the F2 and D6 and it isn't restoring the storage pool. Is there a way for me to get the storage pool back without erasing what's already on the drives?

Thank you!

Are you referring to resetting F2-424 by restoring it to factory settings and reinstalling the system?

Hello!

Regarding the issue where the F2-424 product cannot mount the RAID1 array created by the D6-320 product's hard drives after a reboot, there is no need to reinstall the TOS system. The main reason is that the TOS system automatically scans all arrays during startup. Due to the large capacity of the hard drives in the D6-320 device, the boot process takes longer, which may cause the TOS system to fail to recognize the D6-320's RAID1 in time.

You can try turning on the D6-320 product first and letting it run for about 30 seconds. Once it has successfully booted up, then power on the F2-424 device to see if the issue is resolved.

If you encounter any questions or difficulties during the process, please feel free to contact us at any time.
