[Help] Substitute or Delete Photos on DB, what happen for index?

Hi,

I have to delete many photos and replace others from my db.
I was wondering what happens to the indexer. Do I have to reindex or they will be automatically indexed?
Are the thumbnails of the deleted or replaced photos deleted/replaced?
