[Help] New F6-424 Causing Network Slowdown

Post by terroradagio »

Hello,

I have a brand new F6-424 configured and working well at first it seems. However, I have noticed that since adding the NAS to my network I am getting network drops/packet loss that is affecting other devices.

My setup:

Amplifi Alien Router is connected to a TP-Link TL-SG108S-M2 8-Port 2.5G Switch. The NAS and my desktop are connected to this switch to get 2.5g speeds.

On my desktop which has an Intel 2.5g connection, I will get random drops and packet loss of my connection. This all started happening once the F6-424 was added to the network.

I have tried various different CAT6 cables and even changing the switch. Nothing seems to help with this network disruption. I previously had a Synology NAS working well on my network and with no issues like I am having since adding the F6-424.

Why would the F6-424 be causing this to my network? At this time it only has an Emby install. I have not even got to the process of adding data yet as if I can't figure out why this is happening I am going to have to return and stick with Synology.
