Filenames including punctuation (commas etc) fail to copy across

I'm having a great deal of fun copying files across onto our new server - all files which have the , in the name are failing. Are there plans to include this as being acceptable in a file name?

Hello, due to the potential conflicts that commas may cause with various file path designs, there are currently no compatibility plans in place.
