Text editor

Post by makhai »

Excuse me if I'm rude, but I can't find a text editor on TOS 5 web interface.
Is there one at least ?

Sorry, there is no text editor on TOS5 web interface.
Perhaps you can wait for the future release of TOS 6, which will have a text editor in the “File Manager”.

That's sad.
TOS 5 already got a text editor included with docker manager, for yml config file.
is there a possibility to make it a standalone app ?

Sorry, there are no plans for this at the moment. You can get this feature in the future by updating to the official TOS6 version.

No worries! TOS 5 does not have a built-in text editor in its web interface. However, you can manage files using the File Station app, where you can upload and download text files. For editing, you might need to use an external text editor on your computer and then upload the edited files back to your TNAS.

You can use a text editor on your local machine to create or edit your files. After editing, you can upload the files to TOS 5 using the web interface.
