email '+' addressing  [Accepted]

Post by Gremlin »

Can the email notification system be modified to allow 'plus' addressing as in

'emailname+devicename@servername'

I realise that not everyone would have a use for this, but my mail server provider does provide the facility and it would help
when handling multiple nas (etc) devices to better identify the source. I get numerous notifications every day but each has to be opened to identify the source.

I have experimented with the 'custom' setting in Notifications, but the dialogue rejects '+addresses' as valid email addresses.

Should have said 'experimented with 'custom in Notifications' AND 'user email'.
