TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
I have a F4-424 Pro with TOS 6.0.229 installed. Attempting to manually install this version produced, "Failed to Update". I can't see any other explanations for this and I'd rather not have to flash using USB Initboot. Does anyone have any insights on what the issue might be?

I was faced with the same results, attempting to upgrade my F4-223, from 6.0.229. It kept failing at 40%. I tried uploading from my PC, from a USB attached to the NAS, and from a local folder on the NAS. Didn't make a difference. So, I thought, let's back up your profile, reset it, then restore it. Well, upon restoring the original profile, the NAS was in a strange state. I couldn't log in via TOS desktop or https, but I could connect via SMB, using the restored credentials.dandrewm wrote: ↑25 Dec 2024, 16:50 I have a F4-424 Pro with TOS 6.0.229 installed. One more point to note, I have an 512GB M.2 drive installed, originally for Hyper Cache. However, before attempting to upgrade, I deleted the Hyper Cache and virtually removed the drive. Then I manually shut down the NAS.
Removing all the drives, except the M.2, I powered it backed on. I was then prompted to install TOS via the internal USB or download, I chose download. Reinstalled my drives. When asked to select which drives to install TOS to, I unselected all drives, except the M.2. I then had a clean install of TOS 5.1.145. Powered down. Powered back up, verified volume intact, upgraded to 6.053.
After that, I once again wasn't able to login via TOS desktop or browser, but I new it was functioning to some extent because my winNUT client was connected. Manual reboot, came back up, took an automatic update to 6.0.55, has been purring like a kitten ever since. YMMV

Я тоже не понимаю почему забили на модель F4-422, но говорят надо ждать.

Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
after update i lost all the data the traid is there but says it's damage how i can retrive the data ?
Re: TOS 6.0.530 Official Version Released
Am I right in thinking this update drops ALL configuration info?
Will data be lost?
Is it safe to do on a T9-423 with 5.1.67 TOS and 5.19 boot?
How can I produce a print out of current system settings to re-apply?
thanks

Hi there!
Nice to see that the TOS 6 is here
Got some doubts (maybe already solved somewhere)
- What kind of configs are wiped? Only system ones?
- Will the volumes and data be safe ? Asking because this Update seems to be quite big and there is a lot of data.
- If I'm running services through Docker, will this update break the Docker config too ? Maybe only need to update but want to ask.
