1) I have f2-424 NAS running on TOS 6.0.555
2) I installed TOS 6 initially to 2 nvme disks (512 GB each size) and I see in settings that both nvme drives marked as a "system disk"
3) I added 2 HDD with 2TB size for each one
4) I created traid massive with all 4 disks inside (512 nvme+512 nvme+2tb hdd+2tb hdd)
5) I have around 3 TB space available in my traid massive and happy with that, but....
HDD disks are quite noisy in operation and I decided to change 2 of them to 2 SSDs (2tb each). And the same time think to change 2 nvme 512gb each to 2 nvme 2 tb each and have 4 disks in one traid massive (want to keep user data and dont recreate new raid massives).
Can I go with this migration/upgrade algoritm? :
a) remove 1st system nvme disk from nas, install new 2 tb nvme and make traid recovery. will new first 2 tb nvme become system disk after that?
b) remove 2nd system nvme disk from nas, install new 2 tb nvme and make traid recovery. will new second 2 tb nvme become system disk after that?
c) remove old HDD 2 tb and change to new 2tb ssd, recover traid
d) remove second old 2tb hdd and change to new second 2tb ssd, recover traid
e) be happy with 6tb traid massive
Am I correct that this is the right way to go?
Thanks a lot!
