Centralized Backup won't allow use of Volume2 on F4-223

Post by phands »

Hi,

I'm trying to set up Centralized Backup on my F4-223, running TOS 6..0.555-00166.

When setting up the device, the installation process made 2 volumes, Volume1 and Volume2. Vol1 is way smaller than Vol2 (467G and 27T, respectively).

When setting up a SMB task on a local network machine, the setup wizard only shows Volume1 in the Destination field. As Volume 1 is so small, I need to be able to see Volume2 and select directories on that Volume.

Anyone else see this?

Thanks,

Paul

In a follow-up question, where does Centralized Backup store its configuration information? I'm a Linux user, and happy editing config files using the command line.

If the file system of Volume 2 is ETX4, it is not selectable. It needs to be recreated as a BTRFS file system. The configuration information is inside the volume, named @app.

Thanks..you are 100% right! I made a new BTRFS volume, and it works fine. The documentation, and the error message needs to say that ONLY BTRFS is supported,
