Turning on network VPN with scheduled task

Post by DomW »

I think along the same lines as viewtopic.php?t=6332 I would like to be able to schedule a task to connect, or disconnect, a VPN that I've set up in Control Panel > Network Services > Network > VPN Connections. Don't know whether that is currently scriptable?

Based on your description, you can go to Control Panel - General Settings - Task Plan and customize the script to try to connect or disconnect.

Is there a resource that would explain how I can script connection/disconnection from the VPN connection?

An alternative question: is it possible to (a) configure the VPN connection so that it is only applied to one interface (ie one of the two ethernet ports), and (b) configure an application to use only one interface?

(It can't see any way of doing that in the Web UI, wondering whether it's possible through scripting and/or the command line?)
