How to move pictures from Personal to Public Space

Post by TechExplorer »

As mentioned in the subject, is there a way to do this without going through each folder and manually moving the picture files?

The default directory corresponding to the public space is the Shared Folder 'Photos', and you can just move the photos in your personal space to the 'Photos' Shared Folder.

Thank you for your response. I am aware it can be done. But it feels tedious to switch back and forth between Terra Photos and File Manager every time I see a picture that I need to move to Public Space. Especially if you have thousands of pictures. It will be hard to switch back to File Manager and identify those one by one and move it manually.

What I am hoping is to stay at Terra Photos and while browsing the pictures I can just select from there and click an option to move all selected pictures to public space. That will be very convenient.

I hope you add this feature soon. Switching back and forth is tiresome and waste of time.

Also just to add here. When I moved it manually. It does not appear in the Public space.
It only did when I reindex again. Is this something I always need to perform every time I move pictures to Public space?

When new photos are added to the media index folder, the system will automatically index them and generate thumbnails. Therefore, there is no need to manually reindex. Please try moving more photos via file management or SMB to test.
