Hello, (Sorry for my English)
I recently got an F4-424 Pro running TOS 5.1.145. I have set up a TRAID array with 12+8+6 for storage and two 1TB NVMe drives in TRAID for the OS and applications.
I also have a few small 1TB HDDs that I want to connect via USB with an external enclosure to transfer data. The NAS is able to read the drive for about 5 minutes, then it crashes. I have to reboot the NAS, but I get no display (just a gray screen), so I have to reset it forcefully by reinstalling TOS.
This issue keeps occurring even after the reset.
Have you encountered this problem before?
Thank you, and have a great day.

Re: Usb TNAS crash TOS
Hello, we have tested with larger capacity HDDs and haven’t encountered this issue. To assist you more effectively, could you provide some screenshots? This will help us quickly pinpoint the problem. Additionally, do you have access to another HDD to try swapping it out and see if the issue is related to the HDD itself?Jeyinn wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 16:09 Hello, (Sorry for my English)

Re: Usb TNAS crash TOS
Hello, yes I tried replacing it with a 2TB drive, but TOS crashes in the same way: I can no longer open any applications, I can only restart the NAS, but during the restart, I end up on a gray page, so I can no longer connect and have to forcibly reset it.TMgevin wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 17:35Hello, we have tested with larger capacity HDDs and haven’t encountered this issue. I don't have a screenshot, it's just a gray page when I try to connect to the NAS.
Re: Usb TNAS crash TOS
Does the usb enclosure have it's own power? Is it reliable? To some extent it sounds similar to when power fails on a connected drive.

You can try to check if the file system is damaged. You can refer to the following instructions: viewtopic.php?t=2575. In addition, you can try to connect the USB to the computer to check if there is any abnormality in data transmission.
