Update a F4-830

Post by ggrswiss »

Hello,

I would like to know if a Terramaster F4-830 is updatable to manage larger hard disk than 3Go ?
Could you give me some advises to make it runs.

Thank you,

Must be chinese only model, not a global one.

Look into BIOS if you can disable force USB boot of TOS, then you can put any OS you want on it.

That's just a plug and play, not much. That does not run under a OS.
Actually, the issue i have with it is that most of HDs nowadays are sold with at least 4Go and above. It's become difficult to find some 3Go.
That's why i was wondering if that devise could be upgrated by somehow to bypass that limitation ?! Do you get it ?

I looked at the pictures and thought "WOW, I didn't know @TM had been around that long" :o
Or that a model 25 years old could still be living, outside of a museum........
especially given the shelf life/longevity of more recent hardware.
