How to Add Hard Drives to an Array

Issue:
The storage pool and volume do not have enough available capacity, and there is a need to add hard drives to the array. Without changing the array mode, replace existing drives with larger capacity ones to increase the available capacity of the storage pool.

Solution:

1.Log in to the TOS system page and insert a new hard drive into the TNAS. Ensure that the capacity of the new hard drive is larger than or equal to the smallest drive in the array.

2.Go to Control Panel > Storage Manager > Storage Pool and click the "Edit" button. In the pop-up menu, select "Add hard drive to RAID." The RAID will start synchronizing, which may take some time. Please be patient until the synchronization is complete. See the image below:



3.Go to Control Panel > Storage Manager > Volume and click the "Edit" button to adjust the volume capacity as needed.





Notes:

1.This solution is only applicable to TRAID, TRAID+, JBOD, RAID5, and RAID6 array types.

2.The array can only add one new hard drive at a time; adding two or more drives simultaneously is not permitted.

3.If you find that you are still unable to expand the storage pool or volume after synchronization is complete, please refer to this guide for manual expansion: viewtopic.php?t=2342

If I add a new empty drive using the online raid level migration will the data on the ORIGINAL drive in that storage pool be deleted?
The drive in storage pool three (pictured) was set up in single disk mode.

Hola buenos días. Alguien me podría explicar cómo poner en "single disk" y como configurar lo en Windows para leer los como HDD , en mi equipo. En fin... Cómo usarlos como únicos solo para poner datos sin copias, el nas es terramaster f4-423 .

Si quieres usar cada disco de forma independiente, debes crear un Storage Pool en modo Single Disk para cada HDD desde el Administrador de Almacenamiento. Ten en cuenta que los discos creados en el NAS utilizan un sistema de archivos Linux, por lo que Windows no podrá leerlos directamente si los conectas al PC. Lo más recomendable es acceder a ellos mediante una carpeta compartida (SMB) desde Windows. Si quieres usarlos como discos normales en un PC, tendrás que formatearlos en Windows, lo que borrará todos los datos.
