Connect a D4-300 to a F2-423

Post by sim667 »

I’m looking to expand storage on my NAS, and have been playing with attaching a USB disk to it, so far I have it working but it’s a very old disk and Time Machine backups (which I’m tending to us it for) aren’t working- which isn’t a surprised to me.

So I’m considering purchasing a D4-300 to attach as this offers good expandability and is quite affordable.

However I realised a D4-300 isn’t RAID, but would I be able to run a RAID1 pairing on it using the RAID controller on the F2-423 to manage it?
