Applicable models:
All TNAS models
Problem Description:
Entering https://tnas.local in the browser does not allow successful access to the TNAS device.
Possible causes:
Access failure may stem from a variety of factors such as DNS resolution issues, misconfiguration of the computer's local hosts file, browser cache interference, firewall or security software interception, and unstable network connection.
Solution:
Method 1: Comprehensive troubleshooting
Check and troubleshoot DNS resolution, computer local hosts file, browser cache, firewall settings, security software configuration and network connection one by one.
Method 2: Use TNAS PC client to search for TNAS devices
Install the TNAS PC client on your Windows or macOS computer, the following version is recommended:
TNAS PC 5.2.003 (for Windows)
TNAS PC 5.1.202 (for macOS, Intel chips)
TNAS PC 5.1.202 (for macOS, Apple chip)
Note: The TNAS PC client can only search for TNAS devices on the same LAN and the same network segment as the computer.
Method 3: Find device IP through router
Log in to the router management page, find the connected devices list in the router management page, locate the TNAS device and check its IP address.
Method 4: Use third-party tool Advanced IP Scanner
Download and install Advanced IP Scanner for Windows, and use this tool to scan the devices in the network to locate and get the IP addresses of TNAS devices.
Why can't I access the TNAS device by typing https://tnas.local/ in the browser?
