I have tried running Cloudsync under various versions of TOS, including the latest 6.0.530.
The Cloudsync 'polling time' option simply does not work. It doesn't matter what time frame you set on it, i.e. 10 minutes. 10 hours or 10 days, it syncs the files every time their is a file change.
If you use something like Backblaze B2 and set Backblaze to save all file changes, you end up with dozens of versions of the same file you are working on over a day. This causes your storage space to increase dramatically. If I set the polling time to 24 hours I expect one file change a day.
Yes, I have logged this issue with Terramaster a few weeks ago and they said they will look at it. Silence since.
I want to love my several Terramaster units, but whilst the hardware is great their software sucks.
Cloudsync Polling Time
Re: Cloudsync Polling Time
The currently effective rule for polling intervals applies specifically to cloud disks, whereas local files are synchronized in real-time based on any changes to the files. Thank you for your feedback, which has brought to our attention a previously overlooked detail. We will reassess the implementation of this rule.
