I have a D5-300, with three 12TB drives and two empty bays, configured as RAID 5. I want to increase the total size of my RAID, by adding a 4th drive.
Can I do this while maintaining the integrity of the data on the existing 3 drives?
OR
Do I need to back that data up elsewhere, erase this RAID, and create a new RAID with the 4 drives to increase my total RAID storage space?
Is it possible to increase storage by adding an additional drive?

To change the D5-300's array settings, you can only delete and rebuild it.
