New F4-424 Pro TOS or other OS?

I've just got a Terramaster F4-424 Pro which so far I'm very pleased with. I've not started using it properly as a NAS device yet but have tried out TOS 5.1 and it seems to work well. However, having heard of a few issues with it, I was wondering if there were any other operating system that would work better or just stick to TOS? I know there are the likes of TrueNAS, OMV, UnRAID, CasaOS, etc but ideally would like something that offers a flexible RAID system (like TRAID) as I am currently migrating from an old Drobo and plan on reusing the hard drives from that (all 3 TB) but will eventually upgrade them one at a time as finances permit to 4 or 6 TB each.

Loved my F4-424 pro, hated TOS 6 (i got really a lot of bugs).
Since i switched to unraid everything has been butter smooth, and with that OS you can easily expand your array in a flexible way.
