External USB Sleeping

Post by jpeckinp »

I have a F4-424 Pro with a 5-bay external USB box for backups.
Is there a way of keeping the drives awake? I have TFM Backup set to back up data to different drives but sometimes when it wakes up the drives they have changed letter/name and the backup tries a whole new backup on a different drive.
Current System:
F4-424 Pro
40TB storage.

Could you please let me know the model of your 5-bay external USB box? You might want to try our USB Copy application in the app center to see if it can resolve your issue.

It's an Orico DS500U3.
I get the issue of the drive isn't present with USB Copy even if it shows back up in the drive list. It takes about 5 minutes for it to be recognized by USB Copy after it comes out of sleep mode.

You can wait for the release of TOS6 to adjust the Disk Sleep to “Never”. Of course, you can also set “Never” on TOS5, but there is a problem with “Never” on TOS5, so it is not recommended for now.

I'm running 6.0.512 but I haven't seen this option. Where is it?
