Is possible to rsync remote to NAS?

Post by Illidan »

Hi, I am familiar with rsync and linux commands but I cannot find a way to rsync remote content from another server to my new terramaster.

Does rsync backup support remote >> terramaster or only terramaster >> remote?

Thanks

You can setup Tnas as an rsync server which can receive data from other rsync capable devices. (if that's what you are looking for). I don't think there is any way to 'pull' data from within the gui.

The TOS desktop backup includes rsync backup functionality, where you only need to fill in the IP address and port number of another machine. For remote backup, it is necessary to ensure that your server's rsync port is accessible on the public network and that the router has correctly mapped this port.
