The update package downloaded from the download link in the current post is the latest one, and this release resolves several issues that cannot be updated.

fcs001fcs wrote: 09 Aug 2024, 00:21 I am on TOS 6.0.436 Beta and noticed that in Docker Manager the CPU percent indication is zero for all my 10 containers listed. They should always read a slight % usage and, if the container is working hard, a much higher percentage.

It did work on prior TOS versions, and I think it worked on TOS 6.0.420, but I am not 100% sure on that.

I uninstalled Docker Engine and Docker Manager and the re-installed both apps after a NAS reboot, but I have the same problem.

Question to TM: Is this the issue that TM has stated before about other Apps that the Docker Manager App needs to be updated to work with the new TOS 4.0.436?
I noticed that an update for Docker Manager was available and hoped that the CPU % issue would be fixed.

I upgraded Docker Manager from 2.0.16 to 2.0.17 via the GUI and rebooted the NAS twice but, unfortunately, the problem still persists.
Works now, thanks to TM for the fix.

Updated yesterday to TOS Beta 6.0.461 and still running Docker Manager 2.0.17 and the CPU % for each container is now working. After the update to .461 I did have an indication to update Docker Engine, and I did so. That may have been the fix, but I am not sure.

I have a F5-221 was running TOS 6.0.229 and attempted to update to 6.0.420 now the NAS isn't seen online and I can't connect over the network.
I scanned the network using NMAP and checked my router for connected devices and the NAS hasn't got any IP address assigned.
I connected a monitor to HDMI port on back of NAS and it boots into grub> command line. I'm not familiar with grub commands so don't know what I should do.

I looked up the grub commands
Grub>
set root=(hd0,gpt1)
linux /boot/bzImage_min root=/dev/sda1 # Adjust if necessary
boot

restored the NAS back to the 6.0.229 version and appears to be working the question now should I attempt once again to update to 6.0.420 ?

FYI: The model F2-424 is missing from the above list, so until the today I hadn't upgraded my F2-424 because I didn't know I could. I made the same comment in the .460 thread and see that the first post there was updated as a result. Please do same here!

Am now on .461

Due to hardware limitations, some older models are unable to update to TOS 6. Users of these models are advised not to attempt the update to TOS 6. The specific models include: F2-220, F4-220, F2-420, F4-420, F5-420, as well as the 221 series with a manufacturing date in Jun 2020 or earlier, which includes: F2-221, F2-421, F4-221, F5-221, F5-421.
Please confirm when it left the factory (by serial number and maybe by time of purchase).

I bought it new through AMAZON in 2023 but the serial number would have it manufactured in 2021, I have updated from 6.0.229 to 6.0.461
just from my first impressions version 6.0.229 had fewer bugs than newer 6.0.461

The Application Button at top of screen doesn't do anything
UPS doesn't detect UPS connected so will not enable UPS support
Disk overview does not show any disks however Storage Pool menu does display the disks

I only use the NAS in basic mode and have a UPS connected via UBS lead it previously worked on TOS 5 and TOS 6.0.229 but no longer working on TOS 6.0.461

I like you have an F5-221 that I originally updated to TOS6 with no problems and I am sure that initially, the list of compatible devices included the F5-221! I am running the 6.0.229 and recently tried to update to the 6.0.420 without success just got an error message, interesting that we beta tested and then all of a sudden the device is no longer compatible, I have spent the last four years having to reboot/rebuild my TNAS file system and am now looking for another make that has more stable software.

Up to 6.0.229 was (and is) fine. It was only subsequent versions that have issues due to the (short-sighted) change in structure(s) within the os.

F2-424 TOS7.0.0777 - 2x500GB nvme (P3) Traid, 2x6TB HDD (HGST) Traid
