TNAS setup at a standstill

Post by waruiakuma »

Just got a F4-424 and so far it has not been a good experience. I did make a mistake not choosing custom instead of default, and I attempted to stop the initialization process which did not seem to work. I tried to factory reset the device and it still continued with the initialization. I deleted the storage pool and that seemed to work, however it has been two days and nothing has changed. As it stands I am getting a "No valid data" message with the Storage Pool and it does not give me the opportunity to create one so I need advice how to proceed as I am dead in the water.

Hi, does a reboot provide the opportunity to create a storage pool again?
The information available is not enough to directly determine the current status and cause of the problem.
If you can't fix it on your own, contact the tech support email address or the official homepage customer service and provide them with the link to this post. They can then arrange for you to have an engineer troubleshoot the issue remotely.

No, I rebooted the TNAS and it is still not giving me the option of creating a pool.
