F4-220 - mainboard start problem

Post by damik »

I bought an F4-220 NAS some time ago, but it seemed that the motherboard was damaged.

Earlier I read about problems with the J1800 processor and decided to explore this problem in the case of the TerraMaster board.

Some time ago a similar topic was described on this forum, but it probably did not bring a solution and everyone gave up, but the problem was as expected, but the solution is in a completely different place. ;)

I would like to share a solution that worked for me.
It is enough to solder a 120-150 ohm resistor parallel to the capacitor on the board as in the attached picture.

After this procedure, the board began to boot and after connecting the VGA cable, an image appeared.
