How to update Plex in TOS 6?

Wonder if someone can help confirm if it is possible to update Plex in TOS 6 without losing metadata via manual tpk install in the App manager, which is something I keep reading in other topics. Installing an update appears to install it like it is a new server?

So I would like to know if there are specific steps I should follow, like first disabling Plex, then updating, or not disabling and manually updating?

Also, do I choose "Terramaster" or "Terramaster (TOS 5)"?

I am on F4-424 Pro and TOS 6.
