I've had a failed array with the message "RIAID is degraded" .
I have now inserted a new drive, Selected Storage Pool, Edit item and "Repair RAID" (and also tried "Online RAID Capacity Extension" as I'm using a larger hard drive).
When I get to the end of the wizard I select "the page that says "The configuration process may take hours...." and select "Confirm" I briefly see the button change to a grey colour and says "Configuring", but then changes back to blue with the text "Confirm".
Are there any logs that can tell me why the RAID repair is not working or any advice on how to proceed?
Thanks
Repair Array
Re: Repair Array
Please tell us the TNAS model you are using. Based on existing feedback, if your disks come from an old TOS4, its storage structure may not be compatible with TOS5, which could lead to the situation you described.
If you are encountering a problem that we speculate on, there is currently no good solution.
If you want your disk to be transformed into a TOS5 storage structure, you can consider backing up data and formatting your disks according to some of the instructions in this guide:
