Hi, sorry for the stupid question, but i installed plex on my 424 and everythings going fine in my lan, i can open the app, see the movie ecc, but if i connect to my nas outside my lan i cannot open plex, and with other device (my cellphone and my friends tv) i cannot see any movie on plex.
I missed something? qtorrent work fine and so the other app on my nas, but plex no, is some settings that i must do to see it over the internet?
plex doesn't work outside my lan
Re: plex doesn't work outside my lan
You can troubleshoot part of the network based on this topic: viewtopic.php?t=6054 , which may help you resolve the problem.
Re: plex doesn't work outside my lan
I noted that it happen when i turn on the remote access for my nas, is something that i must do on my router to enable plex?
Re: plex doesn't work outside my lan
I don't think anyone can help with your problem due to the limited amount of information provided.
So now you have to troubleshoot the latter 'remote access' ie the "network" which was the advice given to you. Try reading up on how your choice of "remote access" works.
does not tell anything about the how, what or where (so to speak).but if i connect to my nas outside my lan i cannot open plex
tells a little more. However, we may need to presume what you mean by 'remote access'.I noted that it happen when i turn on the remote access for my nas

Re: plex doesn't work outside my lan
Have you configured the port forwarding settings? If both of your Plex servers are using the same port, you will need to change the port for one of them. Typically, only one Plex server can utilize port 32400 to interface with the Internet.
