How long to create TRAID

I have just installed 5 x 16Tb brand new Seagate Ironwolf Pro in my F5-422 NAS. I opted for default install and all seemed to go well. However the installation did not offer any choice (during install) of raid/jbod etc. and no storage pool or volume was created. When the install was complete I chose to create a TRAID storage pool. This has been running for almost 24 hours now and is only 69% complete. Is this normal?

To quote the documentation "hours to tens of hours". It takes a long time. It takes a very long time for bigger drives.

Thank you for the response - very much appreciated. I am happy to wait. I just wanted to be confident there wasn't as issue as I seem to remember when I first installed TOS on my old F2-422 that I was given the option to select RAID configuration during the installation set up process and was concerned that never happened during this new set up process. I may be mis-remembering though

Not saying there isn't another problem. Some questions need more info such as which version of TOS you were installing. Did you choose 'Default' od 'Custom' installation. With the default install you might get a lower TOS version than you expect (model dependant) and so might not get the facilities you want.

I chose default (rather than custom) install and it installed TOS 5.1.131
