Dear All,
New here, but not with Terra-Master.
I got a D2.
Did some dust cleaning with a brush ( device powered off ) but since then it doesn't startup anymore.
The disks are SSD's in single mode, so i can't check the noice of starting up disc's.
The Fan starts for a few seconds 3-4 seconds; the powerled lights up and blink orange then fan stops and led's are off; some times the power leds flash for not even a half a second green but then back to orange to nothing.
First things I did; powering it off for 30 minutes, reset, power cable disconnected also for30 minutes, reset again, SSD's ejected, and so on.
Nothing.
What happend? What can I do? Is there btw software for the MacOS to control and/or check the device?
Of course any help is appreciated.
thank you.
TD2 start issue - Doesn't power up?
Re: TD2 start issue - Doesn't power up?
You can check by the following methods:
1. Check whether the USB cable is connected to the computer.
2. Check whether the hard disk needs to be erased before it can be used. Go to the Mac Disk Tool to check whether any hard disk is not mounted.

Re: TD2 start issue - Doesn't power up?
It doesn’t start. The fan starts spinning and stops, the power led flashes a piece of a second to green and stays orange, blinks goes off and then it starts over and over again. Btw there is no usb cable, just a Thunderbolt cable.
I did measure the power of the power supply and it was good; I did test it with a second one ; same result.
It doesn’t start or boot, it has no power.
The SSD’s are okay.

Is your DAS device a TD2 THUNDERBOLT 3 or a TD2 THUNDERBOLT3 PLUS?
And please tell us the S/N serial number of your DAS device.
Please note that the device has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, you need to connect to the Thunderbolt 3 port of the MAC.
What is the macOS version of the MAC?

Re: TD2 start issue - Doesn't power up?
Like I wrote a D2, without the plus.
This is what it says on the sticker, invoice and webpage.
So you could say a TD2.
About the cable connection, it did run from 2020 without an issue.
The current macOs is Ventura. But the issue happens too when connecting the D2 to other devices as well.
Btw, there is a ticket made; there you have al the information. They prommised to get back, but didn’t yet.
Unfortunate, they didn’t give me a ticket number. They prommissed to send me an email.
