I bought a Cyber Power CST150UC-FC Battery Backup UPS. I checked and it was not listed on the compatibility list but since I was buying it from Costco, I knew they have a good return policy if it didn't work.
Long story short, it didn't work right, so I purchased a different Cyber Power UPS from the compatibility list. Model CP1000AVRLCD.
It didn't work any better, in fact it behaved the same way.
Here is the issue:
Everything connects fine to the Cyber Power UPS via USB.
I am able to enable the UPS settings and set it up and it displays all of the UPS information. Manufacture, model, status, remaining battery and estimated time remaining.
I also enabled the Network UPS option and added both TNAS IP addresses to the permitted list and configured my other TNAS to connect to it.
Everything initially worked wonderfully just as it is supposed to.
Wait a couple of minutes and check the UPS settings again in the control panel and the Enable check marks are off and all of the settings are grayed out.
Anyone else experince this? Is it a TNAS, TOS, or UPS issue?

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
(If I understood you correctly) I would remove the ups 'server' (ie the nas the ups is connected to) from the list of 'permitted devices'. You may have some sort of loop going on.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I tried what you suggested, and it didn't work.
I turned off the network UPS server and waited a few minutes. Went back into Control Panel and checked the settings and they were grayed out and the Enable UPS Support box was unchecked.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I am still having this issue which is after I enable the UPS setting in TOS and check it again a few minutes later, the enable check box has changed to unchecked.
Any solutions or settings to try, would be appreciated.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
Please restart the UPS support button and ensure that the filled NAS IP is set to allow connection.
Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I did as you suggested and have included a screenshot. Two minutes later I go back to UPS support button and the connection is lost again. After I enable UPS support and it shows connected, and I get a system email and a notification saying "The UPS has switched to mains power supply.", but a few minutes later when I check the UPS support options, the Enable box is unchecked and everything is grayed out.

Here is a screenshot of the IP addresses for my two TNAS devices: IP address 1 is the TNAS where the USB cable is connected to.

Correction. IP address 2 is the TNAS that has the USB cable from the UPS connected to it.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
Looking at my own configuration, the only IP addresses I have in the list are client computers that are also plugged into the UPS, but are not directly attached via USB. In my case, my NAS is connected to the UPS via USB. I think listing the NAS's IP, might be your issue.
