Yes, I thought better of trying to remove wires etc and just sprayed the cleaner having dismounted the pcb from the panel so I could 'access all areas' without too much disruption. imo WD 40 is ok for car electrics when 'waterproofing' as it will dry out moisture, but I don't trust it to evaporate and dry without a residue as contact cleaner does. (Yes, I am aware of all the internet claims for the efficacy of WD40, but that doesn't make me want to spray it on my knees :lol: )
