Hi, let me tell you about my experience: I had to reinstall TOS after the webpage remained on the 'TOS loading' screen and so I used another hard disk to install TOS. I tried connecting the hard disk with file via USB to the NAS but it is not recognised, same thing on Windows and Linux. If I plug it in, however, it is recognised in the "storage pool" section, but I have not proceeded to create the pool because I am afraid it will format my hard disk. How do I recover the files from the hard disk? I hope I have not lost all the files.
Thank you very much in advance

How to recovery hard disk content after removing from NAS?
Re: How to recovery hard disk content after removing from NAS?
I cannot access the main screen, I get stuck at "Loading..., please wait!" in TOS loading
Re: How to recovery hard disk content after removing from NAS?
Did the original drive have an 8GB OS partition or a 2GB OS partition. When you installed 5.1.73 on the NEW drive it should have created an 8GB partition. If the old drive had a 2GB partition NAS would see a mismatch in partition sizes and it would have a problem sorting it out. Likewise loading 5.1.73 on a 2GB OS partion migtht be the cause of original failure.

Re: How to recovery hard disk content after removing from NAS?
I don't know, is there any way to see it? Inserting both hard disks remains stuck in the tos loading screen while inserting only the new one where I reinstalled the operating system works.
Re: How to recovery hard disk content after removing from NAS?
if you have access to windows/linux (as it seems) you can try using a partition manager to look at the partition sizes.

Have you ever used your hard drive on other old TNAS models?
From the description you provided, it appears that your old hard drive or TOS on the old hard drive is no longer working. The cause of the problem needs to be explored.
You have installed a new TOS on a new hard drive and expect it to directly recognize and mount your old drive. But in reality, TOS does not support automatic recognition and mounting of hard drives, so you cannot see the data.
I suggest that you first delete the volume and storage pool of the new disk, and then refer to this to reinstall TOS only with your old disk:viewtopic.php?f=76&t=423
If there is a prompt of "delete/format" during the process of reinstalling TOS, please stop the operation and contact our customer service window on the homepage or technical support email for remote assistance. To contact our team, please send email to following addresses, remember to replace (at) with @:
