How do I find out the TOS version?

Post by sim667 »

I'm looking to upgrade RAM and add some SSD's and want to make sure I'm buying the right stuff for compatibility, but I can't seem to work out what TOS 5 version I'm on? (Yes I know the official line is to buy terra master branded RAM but its quite pricey in comparison to say crucial).

I've had a dig around within the interface and can't see it, and I've tried cat /etc/os-release via ssh and no dice there either.

I didn't think the TOS version had much to do with it. Would depend on the hardware?
F5-221 TOS7.0.0777 - 4x4TB (Ironwolf) Traid
F2-424 TOS7.0.0777 - 2x500GB nvme (P3) Traid, 2x6TB HDD (HGST) Traid
F2-221 TOS7.0.0777 - 1x3TB Ext4, 1x4TB Btrfs
F2-425+ TOS7.0.0777 - 2x500GB nvme (P3) Traid, 2x6TB HDD (EXOS) Traid

3rd party ram was locked out in some versions of TOS 5
