F4-423 Not Connecting to Network

Post by gregu206 »

I have searched on this subject and nothing has helped. I have a F4-423 with 4 8TB drives setup into a RAID-5 configuration. It worked great for about a week. I wanted to add a second D5-300 with 4 4TB drives also in a RAID 5 configuration via one of the USB ports. I connected it, but it only showed 4TBs available. Soon I the F4-423 is now not showing up on the network and I do not know how I can talk to the F4-423 to check out. I have unplugged the USB to the D5-300 and still nothing. What can I do? I am using a ASUS router.

What version is your TOS? Can you search again after unplugging the USB and restarting it when it is not on the network? If possible, you can use HDMI to connect a monitor, then turn it on and send us the content of the monitor.

After many reboots of both the router and drives, it now sees it. SOLVED for now.

I have the F2-223 and I have a similar issue. When I boot the NAS, the network never activates. I can remove both disks and it comes right up. booting with only one disk until the network activates, then re-insterting the disk, allows the NAS to boot normally. I cam curious if you have tried rebooting since reporting this issue.
